Born Swietochlowice, Poland. Studied in the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
Since then, is making sculptures and other artworks, and participating in expositions.
For ten years taught in the Silesian University in Katowice.
Since 1990 lives and works in Mexico City. Now teaches in the Monastery of Sor Juana University and Iberoamericana University.

Involved in the political changes, watching rising necessity of renewal of the ethical status of life – sculptures, drawings or pictures, Jolanta made in Poland, were concerned about the moral basis of the human life. She found the human being between sacred and profane, good and evil, guilt and innocence, life and death. She asked how he or she can keep his or her, integrity. Fund the solution in the responsibility of the human being. This one, which is able to respond to God: “I am here”.
Yet in Mexico, she worked asking about Abraham on the Moriah Mountain. Then, about Cain in the Land of Nod. Both established their ethics confronting God.
This confrontation which begins when the man recognizes: “I am here”, leads to his moral autonomy. Also, to the conscience of our presence.

Recently, Jolanta is working on the subject of the body which is involved in our moral and physical autonomy. Nowadays, when the virtual world on the screens of computers or others mediums, stands for real, the question about the presence of the human being becomes new again.
And is necessary and urgent to ask, because of stress, which results of the idea of our body like a cripple machine what teaches us the virtual experience.

Sculptures of Jolanta Klyszcz with their huge bodies give the evidence of tragedy which follows the fragility of our lives. Shows up the real dimensions of human being, both, physical and moral, and indicates that tragedy takes action in the mutual penetration of these two aspects of us.
First, Jolanta refers to the Greek classic tragedy, later concerned the tragedy like a common human condition.
